Latvian Celebration. This Wednesday, I celebrated the Latvian Independence Day with the Latvian Embassy at the Concert House in Stockholm. A very nice arrangement by our neighbouring tiger economy. It was the 87th celebration, according to the invitation. Thus, they have chosen to see themselves as independent since 1918 all the way through the Soviet occupation during 50 years. A wiew of history that not all Swedish governments shared during those 50 years...
