A Small but Global Editorial. On average, this web log is visited by some 600 so-called unique visitors (which is one IP-address behind which there might be several persons) every day. It is just about the same number of readers as the editorials in a middle-sized Swedish daily. But there are differences. First, a web log is of course quicker. Second, the readers of a web log have a specialised interest in the topics and comments of the web log. The daily, on the other hand, has a geographical area, which affects both its topics and which readers it may have. Third, lately I have received e-mails from, for example, Brazil, Israel, Denmark and Italy. To a large extent, they come from people who believe in freedom and market economy and find facts and analysis at this web log useful at home. Clearly, this kind of thin, global, networking will have an impact on national opinion-making.
