Iceland - Still There. I spent this week-end in Iceland with my family - a break from radiation treatments. After the financial crisis, one could almost expect the place to have gone under. But on the surface it is very much like it was before. Quite expensive, good infrastructure, new cars, new houses and lots of people in the restaurants. Even a substantial drop in GDP, like that in Iceland, does not erase many years of success. The road will continue to be bumpy, however, but one way or another, they will have to pay their debts.
