Five Myths of Socialised Medicine. In a new letter from the Cato Institute, five myths about socialised medcine are exposed just by showing facts from reality. Often in the public debate, it is regarded as truth that when government runs health care, you have a right to treatment, higher quality, more services for the money, equal access and less red tape. All this is untrue, in fact in reality it is the opposite - and that is a consequence of what system you choose, capitalism or government monopoly.
