Big Bang Enlargement of the Euro? Wolfgang Münchau argues forcefully in the FT that the best way to solve the urgent crisis in Eastern and Central Europe - which threatens also the West - is to drop the entry criteria for the euro and let them all in. Yesterday, Hungary′s Prime Minister made a similar argument for his country. Perhaps we will soon have a eurozone of 20+ members.

Update: A new study from the Nordic Council recommends all the Nordic countries to join the EU and adopt the euro.
