Still Shining Star of Reform. Tblisi seems to be just like it was when I was here last, in March. Historical, warm, new restaurants, remaining poverty - and lots of activity. Someone had seem a bumper sticker on a car that said F*** Putin. Ads advice about how to help the victims of the war. But that is all. Russia failed totally in stopping Georgia′s ambitions to develop freely. I bought some of their excellent wine in a new wine shop - and had to take a small glass of chacha with the manager. Nothing like Georgian spirits at lunchtime against too little sleep...
