Dinner With Rove. Yesterday, comedian Henrik Schyffert introduced prime minister hopeful Mona Sahlin in Almedalen, Visby. One thing he said was that he "hates the US" and wants it to fall into the abyss. In particular, he disliked the fact that Karl Rove has created such an interest in Almedalen. The audience was enthusiastic, which might be telling.

Anyway, I discussed several matters with Karl Rove later on at dinner. He is of course very intelligent and a great expert in politics and communication. But he is also very funny and a social person. And I agree with him about the importance of personal trademarks and values for a successful political campaign.
