And the Prize Goes To... It was just announced that the Economics Prize in Memory of Alfred Nobel this year goes to Edmund S Phelps of University of Columbia. Among other things, he introduced a microeconomic aspect of expectations into theories of employment versus inflation. Interestingly, The Economist had an Economics Focus article the other week about why this topic is back in fashion. Read that article here.
