Cameron?s Speech. Yesterday, the Party Conference of the British Conservatives ended and David Cameron delivered his main speech. Interesting in many ways; a lot about principles, values and tone of communication. Few figures and precise promises. The speech is conservative in its cautious approach to change in general and in defending society, not the state. On climate change, he gets it completely wrong and steps away from his othwerwise optimistic views. But largely, a sympathetic speech. Very different from political speeches for the last decades. More like aims to build confidence in his character than in his policies.
