Employment Growth in Europe. Today, Eurostat released the figures for employment in the EU during the second quarter of 2006. The development is rather positive. 702 000 more people were in employment during the scond quarter than during the first. The increase in employment compared to a year ago is 1,2 per cent in EU-25. Employment has increased in every EU country for which Eurostat can present national figures.
