CF&P: Lessons From the Swedish Tax System. The Center for Freedom and Prosperity in Washington, DC, has published an analysis of the Swedish tax system. It provides a good overview of the tax rates, tax bases and the general parts of the system. Further, it summarises its main effects on economic growth and employment. The main conclusion is that the high taxes are negative indeed on both accounts, but that is somewhat compensated by the market-oriented reforms that mainly took place in the early 1990s.
