Sign Up! Yesterday was Europe Day. I noticed no celebrations at all. And indeed, most people do feel a national identity, not a European one. And there are great challenges for Europe. But there is also much to celebrate. In the longer perspective, having a peaceful and democratic Europe is a great achievement. And in recent years, the EU enlargement has had a tremendous positive impact. But there is one thing we can all do to try to improve a particularly stupid thing about the EU. Sign up at One Seat, a web site which gathers signatories that want the European Parliament to be in Brussels. Only in Brussels, that is, ending the constant moving between Brussels and Strasbourg.
