Stimulus Will Hurt The Economy in the Long Run. The stimulus package being launched in the US will hurt the economy more than doing nothing - in the long run. That is the conclusion by the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office. They do, however, claim that the package will make the downturn less severe. Well, we are many who have pointed this out. But these things are not mostly driven by the actual result, but rather by public choice. Politicians need to show they do something and people want to feel that politicians do something. Perfect match!
