Small-Government Liberal? One of my main points of criticism against George W Bush has been his betrayal of small government. Kevin A Hassett argues in an interesting column that his big government conservatism may now be replaced by small government liberalism from Obama. No president has expanded government size like George W Bush, according to these figures. President Obama is likely to reverse the trend, probably disappointing some supporters. But if he does, he will have lots of cheers from me.
