President Obama? Most fundamentals have been in Barack Obama′s favour all the time; Republican scandals, Bush′s impopularity, an opinion of change and Republicans having been in power for a long time. I have, however, stubbornly claimed that analysts tend to underestimate the Republicans and that John McCain has unique chances in being quite independent. I am, however, more and more inclined to make the same analysis as the betting firms. Obama′s lead is increasing as Election Day approaches. Just look at this Electoral Map. Of course, things can happen, but for McCain to have a chance, it will have to be a major thing. I think McCain′s campaign started failing as the financial crisis got worse. This quite extensive article paints a picture of how that happened.
