Olympic Games. Some people who want political freedom in China criticise the decision of having the Olympic Games in Bejing. I share their desire, but I think they are dead wrong. Just ask your self: Can you remember when we last had such a debate about the political situation in China? I can, and I think it was in 1989. I think that without the Olympic Games, the relative silence ever since 1989 could have continued. The world′s eyes are now turned towards the Chinese society and its rulers. And since the Chinese rules want to display a positive image, this occasion provides quite an incentive for improvement.
