Bond - the Prequel. Finally, I have seen it. I was deeply sceptical, but then reviews and friends told me not to be. Casino Royale is in my view a really good film. But I have my doubts about whether to call it a Bond film. The style and character are indeed substantially altered. Less elegant and more emotional. The film is more realistic - but is that what Bond should be? Or should it be elegance and action with an ironic touch? I have always been more for the latter. But again, this is a good film, in many ways stronger than its predecessors. Perhaps a necessary development for film viewers of the 21st century. And Daniel Craig is very credible in this film. My verdict is, as can be noticed, not entirely clear. Until we can see what the next one is like, I′ll leave it at that. But do see it - it is a great adventure.
