The World Is Bigger Than Gotland. For some here at the annual week of politics in Visby - with some 470 arrangements in one week - that might come as a surprise. In the biggest neighbouring country to Sweden, Russia, the Putin regime gets more authoritarian by every passing month. President Putin has done many things to strengthen his power and stop the free debate. The last event has been threats to people - also foreign citizens - who will participate in a conference in Russia. But this will not just pass unnoticed and there is a way to protest.
