Topic of the Day in Latvia? Apparently, the article where I and 49 other Swedes send our apologies to the Latvian people, which we had yesterday in Diena, their largest daily, has stirred quite a debate in Latvia. Most reactions are reported to be positive - and surprised. Great. Let?s hope the debate reaches this side of the Baltic sea too. Since I just sent the article to the Swedish Building Workers´ Union (Byggnads), the most protectionist trade union, I wait for reactions. (But since I still have had no reply to the open letter I sent months ago, my hopes are not that high.)
