A Very Bad Decision. The European Parliament decided to force a maximum 48-hour working week onto every member state. Their decision will now form the basis for a comprimise with the Council before it becomes reality.

This is an EU decision at its worst, harmfully regulating life and liberty in Europe. Nobody - an English banker or Romanian farmer - would be allowed to work more than that. Will this really make Europe mor competitive and improve our chances to get out stronger from the recession?
